My Smarter Window windows and doors can be made of various colors and textures on the interior and exterior, thanks to over 100 lamination options that can be applied to the window frame. This allows for custom designer look unavailable in a typical generic or brand window, while requiring no painting or other maintenance. For example, a window can be made with black or dark clay exterior and white interior, or wood-grain interior.

The laminated surfaces are very durable, resist fading and do not require painting. Exterior laminations are specifically designed to withstand extreme climates and consists of two layers: exterior color layer (matte, gloss, wood grain imitation, or other), and special heat reflective layer underneath. This reflective layer is “the special sauce”: it keeps the window frame much cooler by reflecting back much of the solar heat.

As a result, the window absorbs and transfers much less heat into the house.

The lamination surface also features 60 μm thick acrylic layer with outstanding UV-protection characteristics which minimizes long term fading.
